# Maui Wowie

> Maui Wowie, also known as Maui Waui and Mowie Wowie, is a cannabis strain from Hawaii: Leafly calls it a classic sativa bred from Hawaiian and an unknown second parent, and Weedmaps says it emerged from Maui’s outdoor growing scene in the 1970s. The name is also the title of a 2008 Kid Cudi song written as a tribute to the strain. It tests at a median total THC of 18.18% across 190 state lab tests of Maui Wowie flower, with the middle half of results between 16.50% and 19.65%; CBD is negligible: 1 of 180 tests that reported CBD reached 1%.

- By median THC, Maui Wowie is 47th of 52, but its 3.15 points middle-half span is the 4th tightest of 52 qualifying strains.
- 22% of Maui Wowie flower tests reached 20% total THC or higher; 1.1% reached 25%, and 0% reached 30%.
- Maui Wowie tested stronger in 2023 than 2021, with median THC moving from 16.75% to 18.88%, a change of +2.13 points.
- In paired tests, Maui Wowie's higher-THC third had 1.71% median total terpenes; the lower third had 1.31%, leaving 0.40 points between them.
- Weedmaps showed 288 store listings with Maui Wowie flower, reaching 13 of 27 markets and putting it at 16th among 58 tracked strains.
