What the plant is like

Expect height. Leafly calls Maui Wowie a tall, lanky strain that stretches immensely when it starts to bloom, and Weedmaps describes the long, lanky branches of old-school tropical sativas and elongated, resinous, bright green flowers.1,2,3 Weedmaps says Hawaiian landraces can reach 12 feet at full maturity and flower in about 10 weeks indoors or by mid-November outdoors, and AllBud describes buds covered in crystals.10,11

What to watch for

Mostly space and climate. Leafly’s grow guide recommends a big open outdoor space, temperatures of 75–85 °F and light feeding in a soil with plenty of perlite, and says the plant can often handle high humidity and rain; The Landrace Team claims its line tolerates heat up to 40 °C.3,5 Indoors, Souljah Seeds recommends topping the plant and keeping the vegetative period short, about two weeks.8

Seeds and the law in the US

Under the amended federal definition of hemp, viable seeds from cannabis plants above 0.3% total THC, including THCA, are not hemp.12 Congress delayed that exclusion, with most of the new definition, from Nov 12 to Dec 11, 2026; only the exclusion of products with cannabinoids the plant cannot produce naturally starts on Nov 12.13 Home cultivation rules are set by each state. This site does not sell seeds.
